Ninja Senshi Tobikage tells the story of a boy named Joe Maya. One day, Joe, who lives on Mars, witnesses a battle between aliens. Those from Planet Zaboom are attacking the princess of Planet Radorio, she has escaped from the emperor of Zaboom who is scheming to conquer the universe and has crash landed on mars. Joe stumbles aboard the   princesses ship, this starts a chain reaction of events that will alter their lives. Joe and his friends wield three powerful mecha beasts against the emperor of Zaboom and his forces, but the odds are stacked  heavily against them. When all hope seems to be lost a mysterious ninja robot named Tobikage appears as if from nowhere to provide assitance,  able to combine with the 3 mechanical beasts provides Tobikage with unmatched power, with his aide Joe fights the forces of Zaboom...

As you may notice, Episode 3 and 4 are between 8 and 11. That is because the uploader has made a goof-up. The actual episodes 3 and 4 have been labelled as 9 and 10.

Which means:

link for Ep 3 = Ep 9
link for Ep 4 = Ep 10
link for Ep 9 = Ep 3
link for Ep 10= Ep 4

I have them as mp4 format files. I can't exactly upload them, but I'll link you to the torrent I was using. It was active. 9.28 GB of Ninja Robots with EPIC ASS RETARDED subtitles. In fact, these are the subtitles I am currently working on...lol. You could extract the subs using mymp4box and mymp4boxgui.

Ah, I realise I'm using the bakabt torrent. They have both, the 20 ep dubbed MKVs and the 43 ep subbed mp4s. Download from bakabt so I can seed and get my ratio up :c

Here's the link to the subtitles: I've edited the first one like a n00b, but the second is in ass format. I was doing the third when I got distracted. I should get back to it >:( !

I think the 9.28Gb version with mp4 has hard subs in english. i was thinking of getting that. since you say it has lame eng subs seems either its hk dvd or chinese dvd rip.
i was searching nyaa and tokyotosho for the r2j dvd raws but it was not there.  :(

i'll down these eng dubbed versions as well as the bakabt subbed one and make new with dual audio and formatted subs.

Some of the dubbed episodes have different times as compared to the subbed versions + I noticed a couple of edited scenes, just a few seconds here and there. So be careful =)!

Edit: And they're not HardSubs. I was able to demux them and make new mp4s without any subs.

edited scenes? oh, then dual audio idea is dropped for now (even if it was till ep20). adding silence in between or doing some editing on audio or video would be hard work.

Just to point out, I'll eleaborate on what has made me come to that conclusion:

Episode 1: 8-12 seconds have been ripped out in the English Dubbed version. I wasn't able to pin point when. (More like, didn't bother going through the same thing all over again.)

Episode 2: Certain dialogues where Joe thinks (speaks in his mind) in the subbed version are not present in the dubbed version.

Episode 3: No differences.

So on the whole, my assumption is based on 2 out of 3 episodes. If you are able to, it would be wonderful to find out that the rest of the episodes are like Ep3 and have no differences, but it is too tedious a work for me atm xD
