Well... the whole story is about him and it's simply not possible that there are no fans out there who love him. He looks cute with those dog ears. He however is extremely short tempered and doesn't like the idea of making friends. He doesn't like it when Kagome shouts "Sit Boy!". However, InuYasha being a half demon, has a good heart. He's a little selfish, but he cares for his friends and will risk everything for them. He also gets hungry too often. 

No matter how bad a behavior he shows, he wins my heart. Not only because he's the main character, but also because he the cute, caring and tough half demon.

Though IY is short tempered he is much concerned about others...
Not only when Kagome is in danger, he rushes to help... whoever it is he rushes for their help. He is romantic too (but seldom )

A character with a lot of potential which was sadly wasted........

A great character design as such........ his Human form definitely looks better though.......

He has been given excellent buildup and would seem to be a good leading character but.......

He could have been made to appear at least a little more mature (More often that once in every 30 episodes at least) after all he has been through.......

His over reliance on the power of his sword rather than actual sword technique was also another flaw that I feel should have been taken care of......

His stereotypical reactions to many events....... makes the anime seem even more repetitive.......

He has not seemed to have learned anything (in over 167 episodes) about how to speak with Kagome without pissing her off every time........

I like him but I dont like him at the same time..... it is difficult to define......

Not exactly... but I do want him to grow up a bit...... he is less mature than Shippo right now..... and that has not changed over 167 episodes..... it is annoying...... especially after considering his past one would assume that his life has taught him something to make him act a little more mature........

Amyway what i like about inuyahsa is that he always helps others and feels sorry for them but never admits it.

Hey...... its just the way I feel....... I mean heres a guy

1. Who has seen his lover die in front of his eyes....

2. Who was sealed to a tree for 50 years... by his lover (just before she died)

3. Who has led a hard life all by himself....... being called half breed etc......

4. Who has one mortal enemy..... (who bumped off his lover no less.....)

5. Who has been entrusted with a kick ass weapon.... by his father....

and he still has less maturity in his skull than a 10 year old kid...... that really does not sit well with me......

Demons grow up very slowly if you ask me... Why would they other wise live for some 500 odd years?

Physically I understand that they age very slowly........ but mentally?? That seems too far fetched........

InuYasha is a half demon after all... I mean he has the brains of a human that'll grow only as fast as his physical self... Right now, in demon terms, InuYasha is still a teenager... Not very well brought up too...

Well that does make sort of sense...... but still even a teenager would have a bit more maturity........ this guy acts like hes 10 (or less)

IY lovers are the hardest kind of anime fans to convert...... I dont think I can convince anyone to not like IY........ but the fact is that I mainly dislike IY not because of anything other than its sheer repetitiveness and its length....... some characters like IY himself piss me off a bit too.... but not as much as the length.......

5.5 for characters

8.0 for character development

7.5 for animation

8.0 for music


Overall I would give this a 4.5 to 5  Rating.......
