Help getting anime conventions in India
« on: February 15, 2011, 06:20:17 PM »
i just went on a forum that asked about anime conventions in india and a company or group named animealliance asked them to send them an e-mail regarding it and wether there were other anime fans in india.....

so i also sent an e-mail and gave a link to the mebar section of this site and they replied with:-

"Hi there Bariz!

We’re actually working on that with some groups from the US. We’re just checking the feasibility and also how it can be done. We’re not aware of the laws governing in India about conventions and such. There’s a lot for us to consider, but we are trying to do something about it since last year.

If you know anyone or any group that can help do the ground work for us, that would be better

We hope we can bring conventions to India as well!

Animax may be of no help... There was an anime film festival at Siri Fort, in Delhi last year, in August, but apparently Animax refused to have any part in it. Though, the people who held the animecon there may help... Cine Darbaar. I just checked. Maybe they'd be interested in helpng? I certainly hope so!

Here's the FB page of the Anime Cine Experience that took place last year -

And the FB page of CineDarbaar -

And their website -

Anf this article is on the ACE last year, which looks helpful-

Hope this helps!
