hello every body!!! 

i am animerox n i ve been a great fan of anime ever since i saw curious play waaaaaay back when it was aired on axn...
basically i luv animation n aspire to be an animator!!

i am totally on the cloud nine to see a gr8 community like this...
kudos to ai-chan for creating this community!!! :thumbsup:

saw CP and you r under arrest   in axn before the channel was taken off air where i live..
then it was pokemon and card captor sakura in CN...AGAIN the channel was taken off air due to CAS o_O

was thrilled when animax happened...really AWESOM dubs...as my tryst with destiny goes it TOO was taken off air due to ..(no prizes for guessin) CAS!!!!    (curse u cas!!!)

my fav shows... GB,CP, inu yasha,CCS, Ranma 1/2,... well tats all i could get to see in the one year duration in which the channel was available...

so i m resorting to the internet for these wonderful pieces of animation...too bad some ofthem r american versions and i m searchin for animax dubs( personally i feel they did a gr8 job)
would appreciate if u guys also suggest me new anime that you enjoyed watchin!!

I have a somewhat limited set so,
Higurashi no naku koro ni + kai (you need to see the second one in order to understand the first), Ghost Hunt, Code Geass (haven't really watched Gundam and Macross so I wouldn't know), S-Cry-Ed, Death Note (in case you didn't watch), Hellsing.

That's about it for now. Of all the series I've listed the only one I haven't watched is Hellsing. Do specify (a) genre(s). Coming to animax dubs ai-chan has been encoding them so drop by the Link & Resources section. Though you'll need a specific amount of posts to view the links. Have a wonderful weekend.

Most of the series were in subbed format. If any particular series was in dual audio then it'd be the ADV dubs (mostly). Except for a few series like Initial D where the english dub is the american version (where Takumi becomes Tak) and I prefer subs over dubs so I never really bothered over the dub version the file had.

Though I no longer follow Animax or dubs for that matter, I still rate the following Animax dubs to be better than the US version:

Cardcaptor Sakura
Getbackers
Ghost In the Shell
Inuyasha
Ranma 1/2

The last time I tuned in on Animax was for K-ON! and the dubs were meh!!

since i only had the chance to watch the animax versions n i enjoyed them esp CCS,rama 1/2,GB andFY ..thats reason y i m trying to stick to them.. they (the 1s i ve mentioned in previous line)are much  livelier than other versions!!(glad that u guys share the same view)
but i m definitely game for other versions...

don't watch the US version of Cardcaptor Sakura, or Cardcaptors. I'm trying to avoid that. I'm hoping I could watch the Animax Dubbed Cardcaptor Sakura.

thanks for the tip shadee88..  but i guess its too late ..cos i saw couple of episodes last week in youtube .. it was unbearable not to mention the starting credits (the one with a rap kind  of speaking o_O)!!! no offense meant to the american version fans...  but i guess ppl ll feel the way i felt like that if they happen to see the american version after the animax( or CN) version

HEY!!!!!!!!!!! THERE IS NOT A SOUL THAT LIKES THE AMERICAN VERSION!!!!!!!
 
We only have DVD of the american version and the subtitle version. The american version dvd production got cancled after 9 volumes. The subtitles in america sold better than the american version. The american version had poor sales.
 
Not to mention the american version didn't air all the episodes. They skipped episodes and reordered the episodes.
 
There is no such thing as an american version fan!!!

They changed much more than that than the rap music. Lot of scenes and plot concepts get removed. That show was rated the best show with arguable one of the worst dubs.

One thing really pissed me off. It took SO MANY COMPLAINTS from anime fans to the nelvana company that edited just for them to SUBTITLE ONLY!!! NO DUB!!!!!!!
