Inception (2010)
« on: July 20, 2010, 11:16:16 PM »

Genre: Drama, Mystery, Sci-Fi, Thriller

Quote
Dom Cobb is a skilled thief, the absolute best in the dangerous art of extraction, stealing valuable secrets from deep within the subconscious during the dream state, when the mind is at its most vulnerable. Cobb's rare ability has made him a coveted player in this treacherous new world of corporate espionage, but it has also made him an international fugitive and cost him everything he has ever loved. Now Cobb is being offered a chance at redemption. One last job could give him his life back but only if he can accomplish the impossible-inception. Instead of the perfect heist, Cobb and his team of specialists have to pull off the reverse: their task is not to steal an idea but to plant one. If they succeed, it could be the perfect crime. But no amount of careful planning or expertise can prepare the team for the dangerous enemy that seems to predict their every move. An enemy that only Cobb could have seen coming.

Inception is one of the better movies released this year. The script is woven intelligently and keeps the audience engrossed (with its complexities).

For those who have seen Paprika by Satoshi Kon, the concept of being able to enter peoples dreams will not come as a surprise... while Inception is no Paprika but, Nolan has admitted in at least one interview that he was influenced by Paprika.

Scores: 4/5

one of the best movies in 2010...the storyline is very interesting seeing that people enters a dream and the dream can go to another level...it can be confusing at times tho xD

Apparently Leonardo diCaprio dies in this movie too? Have you noticed that he dies a lot?

Was a great movie tbh. Watched it expecting it to be good, but not as good as it was. Would be nice to see a sequel for it

Spoiler for Hiden:
Yeah he 'dies' but I don't think he actually dies.

I really liked this movie, especially the warped-gravity fight and the soundtrack, really sticks in one's head.
