What is this about? This wiki is a catalog of the tricks of the trade for writing fiction.

Source of the trope?
I tried searching for it, but didn't find it.

I doubt that. Right now it isn't a 24hr anime channel anymore so it might increase the number of new sitcoms to get more people to give it a whirl. It has always been about the TRP and I doubt a channel like animax will fade away suddenly or even do the unpredictable - stop airing anime. It is their claim to fame and whether some CEO or new idea generating team decides to scrape off more shows; at the most it will still be on air for a long long time. Though the frequency of anime being aired will decrease, but you can also take it in a positive way since members might opt for newer non-animax (aired) anime. And that is when forums like this one will see a heavy inflow of members wanting anime links and other info. Like with everything else there is a pro and con and so I might be wrong. But, I sure as hell would love to see where the channel goes from now.

PS: Thanks for the link dude. It has a lot of info. Will make an interesting read for me =)
Note: I have been away for quite a while from the link posting scene coz i was err..busy watching a lot of anime and I doubt anyone would opt for a 720p at this point. In any case I will try to get some links up for the ones I've watched recently. Sorry for being away ai-chan ^o^

I am after a few "ANIMAX DUBBED" anime. Are the other channels showing ANIMAX dubs?

This still means NO MORE ANIMAX DUBS I think. Are other networks airing ANIMAX dubbed shows?

Other 'channels' don't air much anime. Mostly shorts like doraemon, ninja hattori and others. Regarding other 'networks' I believe they are dubbed in their respective languages. But then again I am not sure myself. As for animax dubs only ai-chan and AG have some of the old shows. As for 'no more animax dubs' I won't be so sure of it. As long as people prefer dubs over subs, the channel will have no choice but to dub them or air them as subs if they are simulcasts. I don't get the channel so I can't exactly comment on the dubs but when I did have it I happened to catch season 2 of Tsubasa Chronicles and they were awful. They must have used a new voice cast since it didn't match with season 1.

Have any of you got the feeling that the new animax (recent) isn't that good. What i mean to say is that the live action shows have to go. this is suppose to be a all anime/cartoon show, there is no place for stupid useless shows like that. they maybe good to some people but i recommend they send it to a different channel. Most shows are amazing, but i'd like the old essence back you know!

From what I've seen and experienced, the only way to contact the channel is via snail mail. Feedback doesn't help since you either get redirected to the asian website or they just ask you to check the community or ask the mods there for help. And it really can't be helped when it comes to animax because some or maybe most of the asian side networks are airing dramas and other shows along with anime (I think). Otherwise I don't see a point in bringing such things just for the heck of it. Animax has been dead for a really long time now. I think it died when it stopped looking at what its members (who loyally joined their community) wanted. There have been countless times when people requested some of the old shows to be brought back but it all fell on deaf ears as people aren't sure if the channel representatives even bother looking at what's posted on their community much less reply to it.

In South America, initially Animax aired anime, subtitled <sometimes dubbed but mostly subbed> in Spanish/Portuguese. Then HBO bought Animax, and they wanted to do things their way. They aired more American sitcoms and movies and the channel eventually stopped airing anime [still having Animax name]. This caused many South Americans to get very angry and unsubscribe for the channel. Finally, the channel is gone and removed from the channel list due to lack of viewers.

Same happened to Portugal and Africa.

Animax also got removed from Vietnam.

Animax hasn't launched in United States yet, but I'm not sure if they ever will. ;(

Well, it happened to Animax South America. Animax was airing some crappy American sitcoms, people unsubscribed, and finally, Animax was removed.

I totally agree, Animax is showing kid's related shows rather when they started it they said they will focus on the young adults range of anime.
I was really happy when they announced about Animax in india, the series shown at the beginning were ok, but after the change in Animax recently there are no interesting Anime to watch and the reality shows shown are also dumb and annoying.
