Site Banner for month of March (Open till 6 March)

We will be updating the site banner every month. The idea is to make the site appear fresh as well as trendy. The banner will feature characters from an anime/manga series.

Based on the votes a particular banner gets we will use that for the month. This month you have the following banners to choose from:


Anime: GetBackers


Anime: Tenjho Tenge


Anime: Ai Yori Aoshi


Anime: Ergo Proxy

If you want any particular anime series to feature in the banner, please feel free to PM me or Kyo. We would like to involve all our members in the activities of the forum.

Maybe we could change the background colors too? from Blue to something else......

So, what would be your choice of colors?

I like Grayscale......you know shades of Gray and Black........

But what would be really cool would be to change the layout colors of the entire forum.....Dark metallic gray with white text on the navigation bars, and extremely light gray for the threads with the black text.

Swap the current hues of blue with equivalent hues of Gray (something along those lines) the troublesome bit will be to choose text colors to give a good contrast level.. ....we could tone down the darkness of the grays wherever there is text.........And use White text in the navigation bars.......

I'll go for Tenjo Tenge but I do believe the Tenjo Tenge banner will look good with color combination of black, red and orange. I mean, that's what I've been seeing of Tenjo Tenge all along...

I like the idea of changing the site theme. Since our site is theme based the change in layout will affect the site as a whole (including forum as well).

Kyo, Aural_Argentate, if you have access to any image editing software, just create an image with the color combination that you mentioned and PM me.

The same goes for our other members as well.

i wont say this blue color is bad but just dull. anyway u have given the job to the correct persons. they will definitely give us a better choice.

even the animax forum is blue though a diiferent shade. more darker. it has to be changed

Finally, I had the chance to make the changes.

It was a tie between Ergo Proxy and Tenjho Tenge. I selected the former.

I have changed the blue shade and made it a bit more darker.

Why blue again?

Well, if you notice animeindia logo is in blue. And this has to go with the site theme as well. The choice was either to change the logo color along with site theme or keep it intact and change the theme of rest of the site.

In the former case the logo lost its prominence (say I used steel gray theme) and in the latter case it simply didn't gel into the scheme.

And since it is the site logo, it needs to be unique and should not be changed.
