Black Cat Manga
« on: May 05, 2007, 02:43:51 PM »
I'm reading Black Cat manga right now and its pretty good.....

The lead character Train, is a stereotypical character though. Someone with a dark past who wants to put his past behind him and start a new life....

He and his partner, Sven, are Sweepers, something like Bounty Hunters.

The manga is pretty funny too. Train does some silly things but when it comes to fighting he's damn serious. He uses his "Bad Luck XIII" gun as a shield for oncoming bullets. Oh, and he's very fast too. He can run and jump high distances just like a cat.

I've read 6 chapters as of now

Think Bebop and you wiill see the similarities.... However in the end it does diverge from Bebop.... I think I had uploaded this manga to Animeindias account. Look it up in the Manga links thread.

ok i finished 3 volumes...its quite good.

Bebop? i dont think so....the only thing similar is Sweepers = Bounty Hunters.

Train gave me Kenshin jives while Sven reminded me of Ban Mido...
what a dream team....Ban and Kenshin teamimg up.

So what about Creed then? and his Vicious like obsession with Heartnet? They both worked together for the mafia as assassins too....

Creed is also responsible for a Julia type tragedy in Trains life....

Sven fills in the same role as Jet... he provides logistics and information for Train...

We then have Rinslet who is a match up to Faye... with lots of similarities in attitude...

In a way similar to Vicious.... Creed has the same kind of plans.....

But you havent reached these parts yet I guess.....

yeah i can see where ur getting at, on a whole it is a lot like Cowboy Bebop, but i was comparing them indivisually.

I actually forgot about Creed....and yes he does have a peculiar obsession with Train...it reminded me of Tomoyo and Sakura. o_0

Guilty as charged....

About the manga... there is a great deal more information in the Black Cat thread on the SA forum... check pages 1-3 on the thread.

Better still go to Wikipedia. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Cat_%28manga%29
