Card Captor Sakura... A classic creation by CLAMP

Card Captor Sakura is one of the best and the most memorable creations by CLAMP and is now considered a classic in Anime Industry.

It indeed has the ability to win hearts of everyone with it's amazing artwork and good story line. One thing which struck me the most by the end of the series is that it talked about evil forces, but it's never shown to exist... The anime maintains a grip without needing any of them... Good enough I say, That's what I call story writing ability...  :lol:

i like CCS. all the characters r cute and the way they move the series also is good. though it dealz with fantasy i always want to b like sakura(catching the cardz and using itz power to get the exam question paper b4 the exam... funny isn't it...) anyway but i'll never act so childish like her.

I really havent seen too much of the anime, but I have heard both Rave reviews and hardcore slurs about this anime........

I thought it was a bit too candyflossy for my taste.........So sweet it gives me diabetes........

But I liked the character design in it.........

Sakura is just another 11 year old 4th grader. You can't expect her to act like a mature adult can you? So naturally you won't act childish like her. The characters are unrealistic... OK... but not to that extent.

If everyone was so sweet it would be great I suppose.........but every person (grown ups) does have a bit of an inner child which retains that innocence of childhood......but it comes to the surface on occasion........if everyone was so sweet all the time, life would become kinda boring......dont you think?

Nope... Not all people are sweet... Only people below the age of 11... 

About 50 years ago the age to get sweet to sour was 15. 

Now, it's 11 so one can imagine how unrealistic an anime get sometimes...

But CCS is a work of fiction, so it really doesn't matter how sweet the characters are. What matters is whether one enjoyed it or not. For once I enjoyed it. And plus, CCS is a kind of Shoujo. We guys are more apt for shonen... don't you think so?

I disagree about the Shoujo and Shounen categorization........

I am a big fan of both Genre.....indeed my collection of Shoujo anime and Manga surpasses my collection of Shounen.......

Shounen is a hard genre to work in.........many Shounen anime and manga just end up being over the top Gore fests.........or have too much fighting going on to support any kind of character or plot development..........

I dont remember the last time I saw a really good NEW shounen anime.......

Tomoyo without doubt loves Sakura and is infatuated with her, but that hardly qualifies as the typical "yuri".

In Japan "yuri" does not just implies lesbian relationship in anime/manga. It is also used in anime/manga to describe tender relationship between young females as well.

In this case Tomoyo deeply cares about Sakura, and is very attached to her. What you also need to remember is that Tomoyo's mother was a cousin sister of Sakura's mother.

the way sakura captures the clow cards and transfers them back to sakura cards is quite interesting........

something that stands out in this anime is that the animation is really good and quite colourful as well.........

I have not seen the anime much actually. This is what I observed in the manga......

Several times Tomoyo has said 'But you will never like me the way I like you' (In her mind of course)
