Detective School Q

Detective School Q is a suspense genre anime which largely revolves around the life of 5 students who study in Morohike Dan's Detective academy and the criminal cases they solve. It's a great anime as the story line is really good and the sub story line which involves the five members of Class Q to solve criminal cases are simply great.

Detective School Q is a good anime (in Kyo's terminology) as it has good amount of suspense, thrill and comedy intertwined seamlessly into a good storyline complimented by an equally good background music. The artwork is good and it's very colorful and cheering and at the same time the colours turn dark and gloomy when the situation requires.

People will enjoy this anime if they have read Sherlock Holmes or novels by Agatha Christie. This anime relies largely on mental deductions rather than forensic reports, hence increasing the general interest for the anime.

Series was interesting and fun...... the mysteries were intriguing and pushed me hard to figure out what happened......I was able to come up with the right answers on several occasions though........A good Detective anime.....

Detective Conan is a great series of the same genre......any fans of DSQ should definitely check it out......They might find it a lot better than DSQ too.....

i am a great fan of DSQ. i dont even miss the re-runs. its really an amazing anime. but i would say kinto was not given the due credit. it seems he is just added for some comedy and for some fights. in very few places does he come up with the answer. if he is in dsq then he must have some analysing skills or something like that but its not shown like that at all. poor kinto

its airing time always clashed with my school or college or my family members program timings

Tsunami it is Kinta...or Kintaro.....never heard him being called Kinto in the anime.......Watching Reruns of a detective anime is no fun (For me) I mean I already know everything.........

Kinta has all the role he actually needs. He is the best martial artist there (better than Ryu) and is the only one who can match up with Mr. Hongo. Plus, he adds the comical reliefs as you say, making TGQ/DSQ a good anime as per Kyo's terminology...

well about kinta i agree with Tsunami..........

compared to the skills that the other 4 have kinta skills seem somewhat a little let down.........and he wasnt given an equal role as well........

Kinta has the talent of luck and strength, but he also seems to have the ability to judge a persons character somehow...... I dont remember exact instances, but  he does show this ability of his from time to time.........

One instance was in the second episode. He sees what ticket the suspect was purchasing and then, he has also sniffed out blood and people in many instances...

I'm making a hard statement here... Kinta could be easily replaced by Scooby Doo if nothing else.   :rofl

Now that is not a great replacement...... Kinta is by no means a coward and he has several skills which Scooby cannot compare to......... Kinta is a karate  expert and strong (unlike Scooby)........ He has great eyesight and also he his unconventional in his methods of searching for clues and thus often spots what even people like Ryuu and Kyuu may miss........
