The live-action television adaptation of Rumiko Takahashi's classic manga Maison Ikkoku will premiere on Japan's TV Asahi on May 12 at 9 p.m. Taiki Nakabayashi, chosen via an open casting call, has been cast as Yusaku, while Misaki Itou (Saori, the female lead in the Densha Otoko TV series) will play Kyoko.
