Tokyopop shutting down US publishing division

The comics publishing culling of 2011 claimed its most prominent victim as it was announced that Tokyopop is shutting down its US operations, as of May 31.

Will another group be buying the rights of will the manga they publish just end.

If no one picks it up will then it be legal to d/l iton the internet?
