Ebay.in - global easy buy. These people have some promotions from time to time.
Just last week i saw some anime starter sets which included complete first season dvd box sets of 15-30 anime for just USD 50-60. (around 3.5- 5K shipped since shipping is costly price almost doubles).

One such seller: Movietronix

You stumped me for a moment... original anime DVDs being sold on ebay India!!

I searched ebay.in for "anime" keyword and it fetched zero results... then I clicked on that link.

That store is an US seller and not based in India. So technically it can't be included as a store in India.

Apart from that they are only offering only the 1st volume (usually 4 episodes) of the series (looks like they are dumping old ADV stock). So unless you want to buy the rest of the individual DVD of each of these series it would be a waste.

Not to mention the shipping would be a killer, and the package size (30 artboxes) would surely invite attention of the customs authority (read you'll be paying duty)  -_-;

^ yeah that's the reason i said after shipping it costs about double.
If you notice, on ebay.com the 30 pack starter kit is USd 50 with free shipping. On India site it shows USD99 with free shipping. In this amount Bludart shipping from US to India is included along with customs which would be around Rs.1000.

Its still cheap for us since if we try to find so many dvd sets in this amount in India, we won't be able to.

Yep.... original R1 DVD's usually only contain 4 epis usually.... Why is this the case? Hell I dunno... could be that since 4 epis usually add up to 90 mins or video time.... and that is usually the length of record-able time for most DVD's... could also be that they want to make more money by selling series in more pieces... but whatever the reason... thems the breaks...

Oh yeah... Artboxes do take up waay too much room when shipping... trust me.... Ai chan and I both know what we are talking about here.... 30 artboxes... LoL... I dont think I even have that many total... I would have 20 odd I guess... maybe a couple more... but definitely not 30....
